Elora Rocks Triumph Over Reigning Champs in Thrilling Season Opener

The Elora Rocks kicked off their 2024 season with a bang on Friday night, securing a stunning 9-5 victory over the reigning champions in front of an electric home crowd. The win sets the tone for what promises to be an exciting season, as the Rocks took down one of their their toughest rivals in the opening game.

Team captain Matteo led by example, putting in a commanding performance alongside assistant captains MacCormack, Hamilton, and Herron. The standout moment of the game came from Colin Dunne, the Rocks’ starter goalie, who made a series of crucial saves late in the third period to protect the lead.

Returning players Yianni Skropolis and Nick Tetley were instrumental in maintaining the team's composure, while the team’s new additions showed great promise. 

The after-party featured country artist Jessica Sevier, giving fans even more reason to celebrate.

With this win, the Rocks have made a strong statement that they’re ready to compete for the championship this season.
